Lindsay Lohan Sticks Up For Ali

Lindsay Lohan has posted a very interesting blog on her MySpace page, which was provoked by two photographers who asked Lindsay if her younger sister Ali, 14, recently got breast implants.

“It made me feel a bit sick to my stomach,” she writes. “My response simply was, ‘Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14-year-old girl, and you are a pedophile!’ All I am trying to say is that I was raised with a wonderful family surrounding me. Of course, we have our ups and downs, but all in all, my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14-year-old child to alter her body.”



Lindsay continued on by saying that she doesn’t judge people who choose to have surgery, but it just isn’t for her. She adds “I am just saying that it’s not something that my family finds necessary to do, especially when you’re not even fully developed yet!”

The “Mean Girls” starlet ended her blogging tirade with a shout out to her girlfriend Samantha Ronson, writing: “I miss Samantha cuz she’s out of town.”

Miley Cyrus: Hollywood Nights

Spending her days out on the west coast as of late, Miley Cyrus was spotted out in Hollywood, California on Friday night (August 15).

The Disney tween queen looked cute in a Motley Crue t-shirt, ripped jeans and a black derby hat - offering up her signature smile and a peace sign before hopping into a nearby van with a few friends.



Meanwhile, Miley’s “Hannah Montana” co-star Moises Arias recently offered up a sneak preview of what fans can look forward to in the next season of the show.

“The next season is everyone just growing up. You get to see Miley getting her drivers’ licence, all that good stuff, and it could also help parents to see how their kids grow up,” he said. “So the next season everybody is awesome, everybody is amazing and seeing them growing up is just really cool.”

Telling how amazed he is by the success of “Hannah Montana”, Arias continued: “I think it’s just really surprising, I never expected it. It’s just a show for families and I’m really impressed that everybody loves it, all the kids, all the parents. It has Billy Ray (Cyrus) which is for the parents, for all those people who love his music. He’s amazing. It has everything. Miley is super talented, beautiful, amazing and everything and I think we all bring something to the show.”

Beckham Family Travels

Accompanied by their three boys, David and Victoria Beckham were spotted out at LAX Airport on Friday (August 15) preparing for a departing flight.

Dressed in an orange dress with cherries, strawberries and hearts on it, Posh carefully held Romeo’s hand as she led him to the plane.



Meanwhile, the Spice Girl’s soccer star hubby carried their youngest son Cruz - with their eldest son Brooklyn following closely behind.

And in a little over a week from now (August 24), David will be taking part in the Olympic closing handover ceremony in Beijing, China.

According to press reports, “the 33-year-old LA Galaxy star is expected to arrive on top of a red double-decker bus - a trademark London transport - and will then kick a football into the crowd to celebrate.”

Also on tap, the ceremony will see former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page performing a duet with pop star Leona Lewis.

Selena Gomez Rocks the Vote

Spending the morning at the Glendale Galleria, Selena Gomez was on-hand for a “UR Vote Counts” campaign in Glendale, California on Saturday (August 16).

Dressed in a cute white buttondown top with a pair of jeans, the “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress posed for pictures and signed autographs for young fans, exposing them to the political process at an early age.



Meanwhile, Selena has also been dealing with questions regarding her rumored relationship with Jonas Brothers hunk Nick Jonas.

“You know all the Jonas brothers. Is there one that you are closer to than the other?” Ryan Seacrest asked Selena on his talk show this past week.

“No. I mean…I think…Kevin is like another brother to me…so he is pretty awesome,” replied Gomez.

“Nick got a little squeamish when we talked to him about you…but in a way that I think was endearing and the story is that the two of you are dating and don’t want to talk about it. What can you tell us?” Seacrest persisted.

“Well, he’s an amazing guy, Ryan. Anybody would be very lucky to be dating him,” Miss Gomez elusively replied.

Reese Witherspoon: Family Hiking Trip

Back home in the States after a short trip to visit her man Jake Gyllenhaal on the Morocco set of his new movie “Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time”, Reese Witherspoon set Saturday aside for time with her two children, Ava and Deacon Phillippe.

To start things off, the oh-so-cute bunch were spotted out for a one hour hike through Temescal Canyon in Pacific Palisades - with the Academy Award-winning actress also toting along one of her children’s friends as they trekked in the 90 degree heat.



Afterwards, Reese, who wore a LA Dodgers cap, grey tanktop and white shorts, was all about cooling down and fueling back up.

Joining even more friends, she and the kiddies grabbed up a spot in the shade, relaxing with a sandwich and an ice cold water at a campground picnic spot.

TomKat’s Day Apart in NYC

Spending the weekend together in New York City, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were spotted out and about doing their own things on Saturday morning (August 16).

While Katie continued along with rehearsals for her upcoming Broadway debut in “All My Sons,” her “Top Gun” hubby took their daughter Suri to the indoor playground at Chelsea Piers.


As for the former “Dawson’s Creek” star, Katie was back in Tom’s pegged jeans, accessorizing with Sofiane sunglasses, braided high-heeled sandals and a city chic Chloe handbag.

And with less than a month until her Broadway show opens for preview audiences on September 18th, we can expect to see more and more of the 29-year-old Toledoan hard at work.

Miley Cyrus Goes Shopping with the Family

She spent the previous evening hanging out with friends in Hollywood, but on Saturday afternoon (August 16) Miley Cyrus was all about family!

The “Hannah Montana” starlet joined up with her mother, Tish, as well as her brother and sisters for a shopping trip to Guitar Center in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, the 15-year-old Disney tween queen is basking in the the fact that she picked up her first MTV VMA nomination for Best New Artist for her hit song “7 Things”.

Miley will be facing off against fellow nominees including Taylor Swift, Jordin Sparks, Tokio Hotel and Katy Perry, with the winner chosen during the VMAs live broadcast from Paramount Studios on September 7, 2008 at 9pm.
